Foreign nationals who submit false materials in visa or port-of-entry applications can now face an entry ban of one to five years, and immigration-intermediary agencies must register with local authorities (existing agencies within 90 days of the effective date; new ones within 15 days). Foreign enterprises are barred from providing these intermediary services, though foreign-invested enterprises operating in China may.
