Google for Startups Accelerator opens to NZ founders for the first time in 2026

Google announced on 21 June 2026 that its Google for Startups Accelerator: Australia and New Zealand includes Kiwi startups for the first time. The equity-free 10-week hybrid program runs September to November 2026 and targets Seed to Series A startups building AI/ML products; the 2024 and 2025 cohorts collectively raised over USD $58 million.

Why this matters for founders

NZ AI/ML founders at Seed–Series A now qualify for Google's ANZ accelerator, gaining Google Cloud credits, one-on-one mentoring from Google AI engineers, and a trans-Tasman investor network. Watch the program page for the next intake and line up an application for the following cohort.
