SBA opens $6M Women's Business Center modernization grant; Aug 10 deadline

The SBA announced on July 21, 2026 a $6M national competition to modernize Women's Business Centers, limited to eight states/territories where funding lagged fast-growing women-owned business formation: Texas ($2.08M), Florida ($1.54M), Pennsylvania ($930K), Tennessee, Louisiana, West Virginia, Wyoming and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Proposals are due August 10, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET via Grants.gov.

Why this matters for founders

Women founders in those states will gain expanded statewide advising and training resources; nonprofits and universities that support entrepreneurs can apply to run a Lead or Service Center before the Aug 10 cutoff.
