British Business Bank puts £25m into Antler UK Fund II to back founders from day one

On 21 May 2026 the government-owned British Business Bank made a £25m cornerstone commitment to Antler's UK Fund II — its first backing of Antler. The fund invests in founders from inception, initially committing up to £500k into new UK startups, with follow-on support through Antler's later-stage vehicle, Elevate.

Why this matters for founders

UK founders, even at the pre-idea stage, can apply to Antler's UK residency programme to access up to £500k at inception plus follow-on growth capital.
