Buildcheck raises $12M Series A for vision AI that reviews construction drawings

Stanford-founded Buildcheck raised a $12 million Series A led by Telescope Partners, with DPR Construction's venture arm WND Ventures joining, bringing total funding to $18 million nine months after a $5.9 million seed. Its computer-vision models read blueprints and run hundreds of automated checks to catch errors that cost the construction industry more than $200 billion a year.

Why this matters for founders

Construction, developer and design-firm founders can pilot AI drawing review to cut costly rework, and the round signals investor appetite for measurable-ROI proptech in the built environment.
