DGFT opens 'Source from India' export platform to DPIIT-recognised startups

DGFT opens 'Source from India' export platform to DPIIT-recognised startups

Via Trade Notice No. 16 dated August 6, 2026, DGFT expanded its 'Source from India' feature on the Trade Connect ePlatform to DPIIT-recognised startups. Qualifying startups can build a dedicated microsite and carry a unique Start-Up Badge for overseas buyers, and any DPIIT-recognised startup holding a valid Import Export Code (IEC) not on the Denied Entity List is eligible even without meeting standard export-performance criteria.

Why this matters for founders

An export-ready or D2C founder with DPIIT recognition and an active IEC should get onboarded now to create a free microsite and Start-Up Badge for direct global buyer visibility; those without an IEC can apply for one first through the DGFT portal.
