Greece adds startup investment route to Golden Visa from EUR 250,000

Greece has operationalized a new Golden Visa pathway granting five-year residency to non-EU investors who put at least EUR 250,000 into a startup registered on the Elevate Greece national registry. Conditions apply: the investor may hold no more than 33% of equity/voting rights, and the startup must create and maintain at least two full-time jobs in its first year.

Why this matters for founders

Non-EU founders wanting an EU base can pair residency with an active Greek startup stake instead of buying real estate—budget for the two-job creation requirement and the sub-33% ownership cap.
