NSW MVP Ventures awards $1M to 22 startups; grants up to $75,000

The NSW Government's revamped MVP Ventures Program awarded $1 million across 22 startups (from 322 applications), with individual grants ranging from $24,225 to $75,000. The program runs two streams: matched grants up to $50,000 (50% co-contribution) for all eligible businesses, and up to $75,000 at a lower 25% co-contribution for women-owned, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-owned, and regional founders. It commits $12 million total, roughly $3 million a year over four years, and about half of this round went to under-represented founders.

Why this matters for founders

NSW-based early-stage founders with a validated MVP should watch for upcoming MVP Ventures rounds and apply; women-led, Indigenous-owned, and regional startups get a materially better deal (up to $75,000 with only a 25% co-contribution) under Stream 2.
