Singapore raises Market Readiness Assistance grant to 70% for SMEs going overseas

From 1 April 2026 Enterprise Singapore enhanced Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) support for SMEs to up to 70% (from 50%), with the S$100,000 grant cap extended until 31 March 2029. From the second half of 2026 MRA also covers deepening activities in existing overseas markets and expands eligibility to local non-SMEs at up to 50% support.

Why this matters for founders

Founders expanding abroad can now recover up to 70% of eligible overseas setup, market-entry and business-matching costs, cutting the cash cost of a first international push through 2029.
