AI health startup Forus raises $150M at $3B value to automate drug access

Forus (formerly Tandem) raised a $150 million Series C at a $3 billion valuation announced September 8, 2026, led by Bain Capital Ventures with Accel, Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, Redpoint and others. Its AI handles insurance coverage, financial assistance and pharmacy steps between a prescription and treatment; total funding now tops $300M, four months after a $160M Series B.

Why this matters for founders

Shows investors are paying up for AI that removes back-office friction in regulated workflows; healthtech founders can frame automation of administrative bottlenecks, not clinical AI, as the fundable wedge.
