BNDES and Finep launch FIP Conexões Startups, a R$250M startup fund

On June 16, 2026, Brazil's BNDES and Finep opened a public call to select the manager of FIP Conexões Startups, a fund targeting R$250 million (BNDESPAR contributing R$40-100M; Finep up to R$50M via FNDCT). The fund backs startups with up to R$20 million in annual gross revenue that have already received support from public grant, subsidy, or acceleration programs, with part of the capital reserved for the North, Northeast, and Center-West regions.

Why this matters for founders

Founders of scalable startups that have gone through grant, subsidy, or acceleration programs should keep that track record documented and map the venture-capital managers bidding for the mandate, positioning themselves in the fund's deal-origination pipeline as soon as a manager is chosen.
