BNDES and Finep launch FIP Conexoes Startups: R$250M VC fund for Brazilian startups

On June 16, 2026, BNDES and Finep announced the FIP Conexoes Startups, a venture capital fund with target capital of R$250 million. BNDESPAR commits R$40-100 million and Finep up to R$50 million (via FNDCT), targeting scalable startups with annual gross revenue up to R$20 million previously backed by public/private innovation programs, with priority for the North, Northeast, and Center-West regions.

Why this matters for founders

Founders who have already gone through accelerators, Centelha, Tecnova, or economic-subsidy programs should position their startup as a graduate ready for equity, and monitor the selected fund manager's investment thesis and application window, especially if based outside the Southeast.
