Delhi approves Rs 400 crore Startup & Incubation Policy over 5 years

The Delhi Cabinet approved the Start-up and Incubation Policy on July 16-17, 2026, committing more than Rs 400 crore over five years. It funds incubation centres across 11 state universities, 13 government-aided colleges, polytechnics, ITIs and schools, and gives startups milestone-based financial assistance across prototype, proof-of-concept, product development, market validation and commercialization stages.

Why this matters for founders

Delhi-based early-stage founders (especially student and campus ventures) can tap the new incubation centres for infrastructure, mentorship, IP support, labs and investor networks plus stage-linked grants. Watch for the implementation rollout and eligibility rules to apply once the monitoring committee operationalizes the scheme.
