On Aug 17, 2026, MeitY approved 31 new applications worth Rs 7,877 crore under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), taking cumulative approvals to 106 projects and Rs 69,548 crore, already past the original Rs 59,350 crore target. The scheme's Union Budget 2026-27 outlay was raised to Rs 40,000 crore, and applications under still-open component categories will be accepted until July 2027.
India clears 31 more ECMS electronics projects worth Rs 7,877 cr; open to July 2027
Hardware, IoT and electronics-component startups can still apply on the ECMS portal (ecms.meity.gov.in) before July 2027 to access capital-expenditure and turnover-linked incentives; MeitY is clearing batches roughly every 7-10 days, so early, well-scoped applications in open categories have a real shot.
