SBA opens $9M SCALE program: 20 supply-chain accelerator grants up to $500K

On July 23, 2026 the SBA launched the Supply Chain Acceleration and Logistics Enablement (SCALE) program, awarding 20 grants of up to $500,000 each ($9M total) over a two-year period. Eligible applicants are public/private entities, nonprofits, and institutions that deliver accelerator programming or technical assistance to small businesses in six priority supply chains (advanced manufacturing, biotech/biomanufacturing, defense, energy/critical materials, food/ag, and transportation/logistics). Proposals are due August 7, 2026 by 4:00 p.m. ET via Grants.gov.

Why this matters for founders

If your org can run an accelerator or provide technical assistance in one of the six priority sectors, submit a SCALE proposal on Grants.gov before the Aug 7 deadline; hardware and biotech founders should watch for SCALE-funded programs to plug into.
