Singapore adds S$1B to Startup SG Equity, extends co-investment to growth-stage deep tech

In a 2 March 2026 media release, EnterpriseSG confirmed a S$1 billion top-up to the Startup SG Equity (SSGE) scheme, under which EnterpriseSG and EDB co-invest alongside qualified private investors in Singapore-based tech startups. For the first time the scheme extends beyond early-stage to support growth-stage deep tech startups, part of Singapore's RIE2030 push to be a leading global deep tech hub.

Why this matters for founders

Deep tech founders raising a round can now seek government co-investment through SSGE even at the growth stage, so line up a qualified private lead investor and prepare for the co-investment matching process via EnterpriseSG/EDB.
