Singapore closes Tech.Pass to new applications from 28 Jan 2027, ONE Pass to replace it

EDB's official Tech.Pass page states it will no longer accept new or renewal Tech.Pass applications from 28 January 2027 (last submission 27 Jan 2027, 2359h). A new ONE Pass (AI and Tech) track launches in January 2027 to replace it, adding indefinite 5-year renewals and the ability to count vested equity/stock options toward the salary bar. Tech.Pass currently needs a last-drawn fixed monthly salary of at least S$22,500; the ONE Pass threshold is S$30,000/month.

Why this matters for founders

Foreign tech founders who want the wide latitude Tech.Pass allows (start companies, take board seats, advise and invest under one permit) should file before the 27 Jan 2027 cutoff, or budget for the higher S$30,000/month ONE Pass (AI and Tech) track from January 2027.
