At the March 2026 MOM Committee of Supply, Singapore announced a new ONE Pass (AI and Tech) work-pass track that will replace the Tech.Pass from January 2027 with more attractive terms for AI and technology talent. EDB's official page confirms that from 28 January 2027 it will no longer accept new or renewal Tech.Pass applications, and existing holders can stay on their pass until expiry. The current Tech.Pass requires a last-drawn fixed monthly salary of at least S$22,500.
Singapore ONE Pass (AI and Tech) to replace Tech.Pass from January 2027
Founders relocating to Singapore or recruiting senior AI and tech talent should apply for a Tech.Pass now if eligible, since new and renewal applications close on 28 January 2027, and plan hires around the incoming ONE Pass (AI and Tech) track, which lets holders found and run a company without being tied to a single employer.
