On June 25, 2026, the Swedish government tasked Vinnova and Tillvaxtverket with analyzing how to improve capital access for breakthrough-innovation and deeptech companies. The agencies must map the private financing available to Swedish deeptech firms that received European Innovation Council (EIC) investment support, identify funding gaps, propose new commercialization-acceleration models, and recommend more efficient use of national and EU funds. The joint assignment must be reported back by February 1, 2027.
