Amazon confirmed it will close Mechanical Turk (MTurk) on September 30, 2026, and is also closing SageMaker Ground Truth and Amazon Augmented AI (A2I) to new users. The moves retire long-running crowdsourced human-labeling and data-annotation services.
Founders using MTurk for data labeling, survey/user research, or RLHF-style annotation must migrate to alternatives (Prolific, Scale, Surge, etc.) before the Sept 30 cutoff.
