British Business Bank readies GBP 350m East and South East England funds for summer 2026

The British Business Bank is standing up two Nations and Regions Investment Funds for launch in summer 2026: GBP 210m for the South East (SEIF) and GBP 140m for the East of England (EEIF), GBP 350m in total. Each fund splits roughly 60/40 into equity (early and later-stage investments up to GBP 5m) and debt (business loans of GBP 25,000 to GBP 2m), open to SMEs across all sectors and stages. Fund managers are being appointed now, with first investment commitments expected in summer 2026.

Why this matters for founders

Founders trading in the South East or East of England should track the appointed fund managers and register interest now so they can access debt or equity finance the moment the funds go live.
