FINEP's Programa Mais Inovacao Rodada 2 Semicondutores offers R$100 million in non-reimbursable economic subsidy (subvencao economica) to companies of all sizes, with proposals open until September 30, 2026. Projects must partner with a Scientific, Technological and Innovation Institution (ICT) and target technology-readiness levels 3 to 8, from proof of concept to qualified systems. As of September 9, 2026, six proposals worth R$104.4 million had already been submitted, above the available budget.

Why this matters for founders
Brazilian hardware and deep-tech founders working on chips or related components should partner with a university or research ICT and file a proposal before the September 30 deadline to compete for a slice of the R$100M non-dilutive grant. Non-reimbursable subvencao means no equity given up and no repayment.
