On 19 August 2026, MAS announced three measures to boost Singapore as an asset management hub: a tax exemption on profit-related returns from fund management services provided to qualifying funds, effective from Year of Assessment 2027; a new Hedge Fund Investment Programme to attract and retain global and regional managers; and an Investment Management Track under the ONE Pass framework for senior investment professionals. The tax exemption covers corporate entities, partnerships, and individuals receiving profit shares for fund management services.
