On 21 July 2026, MBIE announced a refreshed Founder & Startup Support Programme delivered by 14 appointed providers under contracts that began 1 July 2026 (two-year initial term with extension options). It will give over 1,000 startups a year free coaching via Startup Aotearoa and intensive incubator/accelerator support to around 150 high-growth startups.
MBIE names 14 providers for refreshed Founder & Startup Support Programme
NZ founders can now access free coaching or intensive incubator/accelerator support by applying through one of the 14 named regional providers, such as Creative HQ, Ministry of Awesome, Sprout Agritech, Soda Inc or Startup Dunedin, wherever they are based.
