NZ relaunches Founder & Startup Support Programme with 14 providers from 1 July 2026

MBIE has appointed a refreshed network of 14 providers to deliver the Founder & Startup Support Programme, with new contracts commencing 1 July 2026 for an initial two-year term. The network reaches more than 1,000 startups a year through Startup Aotearoa (up to 10 hours of free coaching per venture, run jointly by Ministry of Awesome and Creative HQ), plus intensive support for around 150 high-growth startups annually.

Why this matters for founders

NZ founders can now book up to 10 hours of free coaching via Startup Aotearoa or apply to an accredited incubator/accelerator (e.g. Creative HQ, Ministry of Awesome, Sprout Agritech, The Factory) for the current two-year cycle. Check funds.business.govt.nz to find the provider covering your region or sector.
