From 19 June 2026, Swedish law requires any trader concluding distance contracts with consumers via a website or app to provide a clear, easily accessible "withdrawal button" that lets consumers cancel as easily as they signed up. The function must stay available for the whole withdrawal period, capture the consumer's name and contract details, require express confirmation, and issue a timestamped confirmation. It implements EU Directive 2023/2673; non-compliance can trigger injunctions and penalty payments.

Founders running e-commerce, subscription, app, marketplace or online financial-service products for Swedish consumers must add and label a compliant cancellation/withdrawal button in the same interface where checkout happens. Treat it as a product and legal task now to avoid unfair-marketing sanctions.
