SBA opens $10M Tribal-college Manufacturing E2G training grant

On Aug 5, 2026, the SBA opened its Manufacturing in America Empower to Grow (E2G) initiative, awarding up to five grants totaling up to $10 million to tribal colleges, community colleges, and trade schools on or near tribal lands. Funds support hands-on manufacturing training and rapid reskilling for employees of 8(a)- and HUBZone-eligible small businesses.

Why this matters for founders

8(a)/HUBZone manufacturing founders near tribal lands should partner with a local college applying for E2G to get subsidized workforce training and a hiring pipeline.
