Under Council Regulation (EU) 2026/382, the EUR 150 (about SEK 1,655) customs duty-free threshold for goods imported into Sweden from outside the EU is abolished as of July 1, 2026. A temporary flat customs duty of EUR 3 per item applies to low-value B2C distance-selling consignments through July 1, 2028, after which goods are dutied by normal tariff classification. Tullverket confirms the duty applies regardless of the VAT procedure used (IOSS, special arrangement, or standard import VAT).

Swedish e-commerce, dropshipping and marketplace founders sourcing goods from outside the EU should recalculate landed costs, update DDP and checkout and customs flows, and price the EUR 3-per-item duty into margins and supplier choices before July 1.
